HEC Lausanne Executive MBA Achieves Its Best-Ever Ranking in the 2025 Financial Times Top 100

HEC Lausanne Executive MBA Achieves Its Best-Ever Ranking in the 2025 Financial Times Top 100

The HEC Lausanne Executive MBA has secured the 62nd place worldwide in the Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2025, an eight-place rise from last year.

Among the only four Executive MBA programmes based in Switzerland included in this year’s ranking — HEC Lausanne, IMD, University of St. Gallen, and University of Zurich — our programme stands out for its remarkable stability and steady progression.
Our renown EMBA programme is featured for the 14th consecutive year in this prestigious ranking, which sees around a dozen programmes enter and leave the Top 100 each year.

A Rare Longevity in the Financial Times Top 100

Each year, the Financial Times ranking welcomes new schools while others drop out, reflecting the competitiveness and evolving standards of executive education.  Among the hundreds of EMBA programmes worldwide, only 34 institution — including HEC Lausanne — have maintained their place in the ranking for 14 consecutive years.
This long-term presence highlights our consistent academic excellence and ability to adapt to a changing business landscape while remaining true to our values.

Diversity and Participant Excellence: The Core of Our Strength

Once again, diversity remains one of the key pillars of our success. With 48% female participants, HEC Lausanne Executive MBA is among the top 10 programmes worldwide in terms of gender balance, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to fostering inclusion and equity in leadership.

At the same time, our international dimension continues to be a strong differentiator. With 79% international participants, the programme ranks among the top 20 worldwide for international diversity — reflecting a dynamic mix of cultures, industries, and perspectives that enrich the learning experience.

Attracting Experienced Candidates for Meaningful Contributions

Beyond diversity, the Financial Times recognises the quality and seniority of our participants, ranking HEC Lausanne 27th worldwide for professional experience.
This confirms our focus on attracting accomplished professionals whose rich backgrounds elevate class discussions, the collective learning journey and create meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

Continuous Commitment to Responsible Leadership

In recent years, the Financial Times has expanded its evaluation criteria beyond traditional financial and career metrics to include Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Carbon Footprint dimensions. With current positions of 66th in ESG and 79th in Carbon Footprint, we are actively advancing in these areas, which are among our strategic priorities.

Aligned with HEC Lausanne’s mission, the Executive MBA continues to embed sustainability, ethics, and responsible leadership throughout its curriculum — preparing leaders to drive meaningful impact across business and society.

Continuing Our Journey towards Excellence with Gratitude

The HEC Lausanne Executive MBA’s continued progress and long-standing presence in the Financial Times EMBA Top 100 reflect our enduring commitment to excellence, diversity, and meaningful learning experiences.

While we celebrate this year’s milestone — marking our best ranking to date and 14 consecutive years among the world’s leading Executive MBA programmes — we remain focused on continuous improvement. Our efforts include strengthening our performance in ESG and sustainability, enhancing female representation within our faculty, and advancing every aspect that contributes to our participants’ growth and impact.

As we celebrate these achievements, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our students, alumni, faculty, and team. Their dedication and drive continue to be the cornerstones of our success.

A special thank you goes to the Executive MBA Class of 2022 for their active participation and engagement, which have been instrumental in this year’s evaluation.
